    Wires for 24v trolling motor?

    I have a 97 Lowe 170 . Im going to be installing a 24v Minn Kota Terrova 80# thrust. According to Minn Kota's web site, they reccommend 6 awg wire for wire lengths 20 ft and longer.     50hp johnson ignition...wierd
