    FORD 302 MERCRUISER

    I HAVE A FORD 302 WITH A BAD EXHAUST LEAK. AM PLANNING TO FIX THIS ON MY OWN. IS THERE ANY TRICKS OR THINGS I SHOULD WORRY ABOUT? IT LOOKS PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD IN THE MANNUAL.

    1973 115 hp evinrude on 16 foot fiberglass boat

    Can this motor be used to troll at idle speed for long periods of time with out fouling plugs? Would like any suggestions to help keep plugs from fouling.

    1973 Ford 302 (Slikcraft)

    Is it an absolute necessity to use a lead additive in the fuel? If so, should I use an octane booster. I have been using the lead additive and noticed a lot of build up in the carberator, but question what the build up is.

    points vs electronic ignition

    Is it worth the time and money to switch out my point system to an electronic? I have a 1977 mercruiser 188 hp Ford 302. Another question is how hard is it to do?
