I have been fighting this for a while now and have been reading forums regarding this and havent quite figured out why mine doesnt work. My understanding of how this works is that It only latches on the adjusting pin in reverse gear. In forward or neutral its not supposed to be engaged.
SO here...
I noticed when i pulled the front cover that covers the gear selector, and gear cable mechanism water poured out of it. Is water supposed to be gettin in there? I couldnt find a gasket or anything in the part books that would stop the water from coming in. Also, right where the pawl rod goes...

Re: 275 Drive on Aq131a has Oil in bellows
I dont know, I had someone do it for me. Will replace with what you have suggested.
It did not look like the color it was now. If i remember correctly it looked more like used engine oil.
DO you know what the part reference for the seal would be in...
Just found out removing one side of the bellows i got quite a bit of oil pour out of there. The texture was consistent with that of chocolate milk. I Drained the Drive and got clean green oil to come out. THe oil was changed 2 boat trips ago. Where do you think the leak could be coming from...
Could someone please help me out? I have a 275 drive and it seems that the steering fork bushings are worn, there is some play very little play though, and that causes the boat to not steer straight. No water leaks through the spindle arm bearing and the drive turns easily. This is a salt water...

Re: Oil pressure Switch Wiring For Fuel Pump
Done, Thanks Don. Here is the final drawing. Where i hooked up the purple wire is really the same place you referenced on the drawing, since on the drawing, that would be the place where the actual two connectors mate. Hence i was left with either...

Re: Oil pressure Switch Wiring For Fuel Pump
Thanks Don, I have re-drawn it. Does it look about right now?
I can build a computer with my eyes closed but when it comes to engines, i have absolutely no idea of how anything works. I have learned a lot from this forum since i got this boat (my...
I just received a marine fuel pump and a 3 post Oil pressure switch to run it. I have drawn up a schematic of what i think is the correct wiring. With How i have it wired, will the pump shut off if the engine dies? or do i have the NO and NC posts on the OP switch on backwards in relation to the...
