    chrysler lower unit

    we have a 1978 105hp chrysler motor, got it last summer,and finally thought it was right, now boat mechnic tells us 2 gears in the lower unit are broken in half, we have worke on this engine for 2 summers now is it worth saving? If this engine is right will it perform?
