I wanted to try out my new VHF radio. While in my home, I connected everything, hooked up the antenna and connected the power leads to a 12 volt battery located on my work bench. It powered up, scans and appears fine...except there is no volume even when breaking squelch. What am I missing here...
Is it hard to swith a 25 merc tiller...to controls (throttle & shifting only) ??? Can it even be done ??? It's a new merc, controls & old motor were a 1983.<br /> Thanks for your time!

I just bought an older boat, motor and trailer. The motor is a 1983 Mercury 25 hp. It has the center console controls and the stabilizer mounted on the motor above the prop. It seems to run fine. <br /> This is my 1st merc.. What type of reputation does this motor have? Value? Anything special...
