This may be simular to the question asked by sandman. The motor is a Johnson outboard looks like a 6 hp, has a white cowling and a darker green lower section. Model# is 6R-73S. Looking to buy this for my john boat (14'). Can someone please tell what year it is and anything about this series motor?
I have a 1984 Johnson 140hp outboard. The numbers on the carbs are "393771 & 393772". From looking at a parts list I found out these are carbs for a 1984 115hp and have a 1 3/16" throat. What is the difference between the 115 carbs and the 140 carbs, and how will/could this effect performance?
I have a set of carbs that are used up. Sucking air, in all the wrong places. I'm looking for a used replacement set that are set up for electric primer choke. Any ideas?
