    Hi all I have a 12ft ribtec (hard bottom) I buying a new engine, tohatsu 18hp or yamaha 15hp both 2 strokes but the tohatsu is 41kg and the yamaha is 36 is 3hp worth the extra weight ??

    Hi all I have brought the above on friday evening, it started with one pull but wouldn't tick over so stripped the carb and left to soak over night, now its ticking over and running lovely but there is no thermostat in the engine so I have ordered one could someone tell me which way in it goes...

    help to find what I have got

    Hi all, I have just brought a second hand evinrude (going by the colour green) there is no id tag but on the transom, but on the engine there is a round disk with the numbers 00001305, any help would be great , Thanks slate

    9.8hp tohatsu 2 stroke no shallow drive

    Hi all I have the above and cant lift the engine up into shallow drive while in neutral, if I'm in forward (gear) it is fine and will lift but not in neutral, any help would be great before I take it in and spend my hard earned cash

    Tohatsu 9.8hp 2 stroke

    Hi all after a bit of advice I have the above outboard on a 10ft sib me 180lbs (13stone) and light tackel and it flys reaching around 5800rpm useing aF8, 8.9X8.3 prop, if I add another person around 160lbs (12stone) it stuggles to get on the plane and will not go over 4100-4400 rpm I would like...

    Hi all I have just picked up a (I was told a johnson 1968 4HP) folding outboard I have no ID tag on it but there is a round disc on the engine with the letter M and below is C0584609 I would like to know the year so I can order a few parts for it Thank you

    air bubble under the floor and cavitation on the prop

    I got my boat in the water today it's a 3.2m v air floor and 9.8hp tohatsu, all was great upto about 10mph the I get cavitation on the prop and a large bubble under the floor just in fron of the transom any helpwould be welcome
