    Should there be a pee stream all the time or just when the stat opens? I removed the stat and it pees all the time, but with it in, it only does it when the stat opens... has a strong stream when it is peeing.

    35el79a tell tail doesn't mean it is cooling?

    35el79a has a strong tell tail stream, but it appears to be getting too hot when it runs in the lake. Does the tell tail have anything to do with it cooling or not? Could the tstat be bad and causing it to run hot?? Thanks in advance

    I am looking at a 35EL79A johnson 35 h.p. that has new fuel pump,new power pack,fresh rebuild on carb new impeller and comes with controls. Sounds strong and cranks up quick. The guy wants $550.00 is it worth that?? Also,it is a long shaft. Thanks

    cd16 what is the little tube for??

    O.K. on the shifter side of the block there is a 1/8" rubber tube that goes from the top of the block to the bottom. mine is cracked and brittle. I noticed that there was some fuel in it. What does this tube do? Would this tube have anything to do with the motor not wanting to rev up under a load??
