Well I have the 9.5 Evinrude how I like it so now I am on to a new project. I bought a 5.5 for 75 bucks.
My first question is can someone settle the fuel to oil mix ratio needed this particular motor has had a 50:1 I have read 24:1 so what is it?
Secondly I want to do some more...
As some of you know I rebuilt my carbs etc. In the can it runs great up to about 2/3 throttle then then lack of power is displayed. I feel confident my work is good, however I am now curious about the ignition etc part of the comp0nent. Any insight? Thanks Joel

As some of you know I have a 9.5 Evinrude. 1968. I have disassembled the tiller handle and on re assembly I am having difficulty getting the handle pinion gear in sync with the worm gear coming from the motor linkage. Any tricks?
