I have a 1970 Johnson 85hp that has ignition problems. Upon looking for a "donor" motor for parts, I came across this ... looks to be altered using car ignition parts.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Does it work?

Motor has been sitting for a few years - it does appear to have newer coils and wires.
Engine will not fire when cranking over, nor does it appear to have spark (checked with a light).
However, if the key is left in the "on" position...
