Does anyone have any good tricks to get the steering unfrozen? The motor is completely dissasembled and clamped onto something and i cannot get it to turn. I have been drenching it from all angles with pb blaster already. I dried to hammer the steering tube out from the bottom but no luck
How do I remove the cap on the lower unit thats behind the prop on a 1986 yamaha 6 hp 2 stroke? Do I beat it or is there a special tool? I accidently pulled the shift linkage loose so i have to take the whole thing apart to put the shift linkage back.
I was removing the lower unit to change the impeller and the linkage pulled out from its place in the lower unit. it did not come completely out but its not down in there whereever its supposed to do its job. How do i get it back in place? I havnt tried anything yet
