    I have a 99 Johnson Ocean Pro. I put OMC tuner in yesterday, let it sit overnight and then ran it today at 1500 rpm's for 15 minutes. Do I change to new plugs now or should I take it on the water and get the boat on plane and blow it out better?

    I'm installing a bronze through hull fitting for a raw water washdown and I need 4 bronze screws. No one has any in my area. Is there another metal comapatible or does anyone know where I can buy 4 screws? Not a big purchase to go online.

    I have a 1999 Johnson 130hp ocean pro. The primer solenoid is equipped with a schrader valve. When I decarb at the beginning of each boating season, I use it for attaching a pressurized can of OMC tuneup and follow the instuctions. I hear a lot about Seafoam.     thru hull fitting for raw water washdown

    What is the best sealant to use to install a bronze through hull fitting. I am installing a raw water washdown. No wood in my hull construction. I've been told to use life caulk and also others have said to use 3M 4200.

    raw water washdown

    I'm installing a raw water washdown. The only compartment space I have near the stern is the battery compartment. Is there a problem having a pump next to the battery? I think about my car battery next to the radiator, what's the difference? My only other option would be to mount it in the open.

    Should thermostats be replaced at scheduled intervals or when they are a problem? I test them at the beginning of the season and that's about it

    I have a 1999 Johnson Ocean Pro that smokes when started 1st time for the day (10 foot cloud). Then runs fine rest of the day. I was told there are 4 recirculation check valves that could be clogged. Where do I find these valves on the engine?

    I have a 1999 Evinrude Ocean Pro 130hp that smokes (10 foot cloud) at startup then stops after 1 minute. Could it be the oil inlet valve on the VRO. I have decarboned unit, use top OMC recommended oil. Motor runs fine all day after startup

    I have a 1999 Johnson 130hp "ocean pro" two cycle outboard. It smokes excessively (large cloud) for the 1st minute after I start it and then stops. Other than that, motor runs fine. Any suggestions?....Thanks...steve
