been working on this most of the night,about to say the heck with it:facepalm:..the switch it self will kill the motor. ajusted the cables until blue in the face..it will work fine when motor not running on a meter grounds out and when my son gos to spend the prop it kicks out. like it soposse...
looking at a boat with a 140 i think, the owner said the block is cracked. i have not seen the boat yet. were does the block usley crack at internal or external ?both? i have seen cracked heads and busted blocks where a rod came through but not were they froze...
ok i am looking at a 87 boat it got the 3.0 mer. in it the guy said the block is cracked.now in my boat i got the 2.5 120 mer can i trade out motors being that both are 4 cly.s would this be a simple swap or wold it even work the blocks should be the same right?

ok my tac dont work first off. got one on order...got a turbo 14 1/4 dim. x 20pitch prop was on the boat.changed it out with a quicksilver 12 something dim.(went smaller) with a 21pitch. what should happen more hole shot and higher rpms at wot ? i got a gernal idea of the rule on pitch size but...
is a outboard prop and a inboard/outboard prop the same ? i got a 120 alpha 1 mercurzer out drive now would a prop off of a mercury 80hp out board fit ? and are the lower units the same?
got a 83 bartta 16' with a 120 mer.... tac. did not work when got it, hooked it up and it tacks out all the way (probably why unhooked) but will a regular tac. work just put it on 4 cly. should be the same right? and at wot what should be the rpms thank for any info.

got a 1989 force 15hp on a 16' x 38 " jon it runs about 12 or 16 mph if that should it run faster than this? and it dont want to plane out, with some one on front it does better and sounds like high rpms at wot it wont pick up no speed from little over half gas to full. a bigger prop want fit...
