    Draining foot oil on 75' 2hp johnson question

    Looking at the diagram and engine, i see the drain screw for the foot oil, i see no vent screw, can i assume that you undo screw to drain, then place the engine on the side and add foot oil until full? Or is their another method to the madness here?

    75' 2 hp johnson, can i put merc foot oil in it?

    I have a 2hp johnson 75' ventage motor, i am try to start and have read about the sleeping engine coming awake, my question is: since i have some merc foot oil laying around, can i drain the existing foot oil out of the 2hp johnson and replace it with merc foot oil for testing purposes?:confused:

    Oldie but goodie, not used in 20 years, fill on the top, controls on the front, 1 pull start. Is this a air cool or water cool? Does it have foot oil?

    Electric starter, 1st outing problem only!

    I have a 98 murcery 60 elpto outboard, every year of the last 4 years, i try to turn in over and just get a click when trying to start. Finally after several trys it will finally engage and start. It will do this on the water about 1 more time, not good for the faint of heart on the water...
