    After market vs. OEM parts

    When I get started on rebuilding my 150 Merc, any advice as far as aftermarket parts, Wiseco pistons, bearings, etc? Good idea or not? Cost savings is significant, but is it worth the difference. Any brand names and or links to the products that ya'll use?

    #2 piston bad, how/what to repair

    1996, Merc 150 hp, carbs. Less than 200 hrs on engine. I think the jets may have gummed up for this cylinder and caused the piston to burn.
