Can anyone please tell me why these are not recommended for below waterline use? My boat is used in fresh water and is not slipped. I am re-doing all my thru-hull fittings and the Garboard drain plug. I see there are stainless drain plugs but every type of stainless thru-hull fitting I see be it...
Re: New stereo install
So the red wire coming into the picture from the right is the main power from the battery. The little red wire coming off the switch(blue female disconnect) is the main power going to the radio. The yellow wire is "hot" all the time. I mounted the switch under the dash to...
Re: how far off bunks
I read a lot of people talking about bunks vs rollers and I/O vs OB, but... Nobody ever mentioned HULLS! I would think that not only hull material(alum. vs Fiberglass vs wood) would have to come into play but hull shape as well. Now I do not claim to have the answers but...
Re: 2008 Glastron GT185
Is this what you are talking about? If so, I have detailed pictures of how Glastron built the mount for the actual trolling motor bracket.
Re: How fast is your Glastron?
HAHA!!! :) Well this 1994 SSV175 ski n fish with a 3.0LX I/O will do 50 mph. It does 45 mph if I have all three of the Interstate group 29(61 lbs each) batteries in it. :)

I have the exact same one only it's 45 lb thrust. You most likely will need to replace the pedal or possibly just the speed dial on the pedal.
This is a repair I did to my ski locker lid about 5 years ago, and it has worked out great. So I thought I would share because I'm sure I am not the only person who had/is having this problem. It's a pretty simple/self explanatory fix once you look at the pics. The only recommendations I have...
Re: ski storage lid
I had the same problem with my '94 SSV. It's a simple fix, spent $30 on some stainless hardware and it is actually better than factory.
Re: Boarding ladder for 1995 Glastron SSV175
I am in the same boat as you guys. I have a '94 SSV175, Same factory set up as a '95. I have been scouring the web for a year now trying to find a replacement that doesn't look like an after thought. No luck yet. The factory ladder was a bit on the...
