it doesn't knock at low idle. only when throttled up. if it were mechanical i think it would be consistent. right? it runs strong since i seafoamed it. but now it clanks. changed the impeller, decarbed, tryed to set the idle screws on the carbs. first time out yesterday. didn't make sound on...
i ordered a lower unit from ebay and it was supposed to interchange but it looks different. mine has slots on the side and a larger cav plate. the new one has six holes on the side. can anyone tell me the difference? bolt pattern is same far as i can tell. 1988 johnson vro90.
