    Hard Starting Tohatsu M115A

I forgot about this, but I'm happy to report I found the "junction box" on the right side of the engine. Under it I found the main fuse that had blown, and the spare, wrapped in a heavy plastic. Things were so clean there that the last time anyone had been there was in the factory in Japan in...

    1995 Tohatsu M115A Junction Box

My hat's off to Al Gore and his wonderful Internet. I deduced what is the junction box and found the main fuse, with the spare still in its original plastic cover. No one had been there since the factory, 35 years ago.

    1995 Tohatsu M115A Junction Box

Where is it on the engine and what's it look like? Thanks

    Hard Starting Tohatsu M115A

If "my son" accidentally reversed the terminals when he connected the new battery, and now there's no juice at all, where should I be looking for the fuse designed for that error? There is no inline fuse, and no fuse box, the 1995 Hurricane manual saying the "fuses are near each switch". Thanks

    Tide Tamer Boat Lifts

Everything I've seen/read says not to leave boats on lifts during those events, if at all possible. We would not. I have even had a discussion with Tom Neale, of BoatUS, and had my thoughts published in the BoatUS magazine. In recent years, we have been through 3 hurricanes, with winds as...

    Tide Tamer Boat Lifts

Expounding on the "hard to get things done in Charlotte County/SW Florida, the rep for the Tide Tamer dealer, Overall Outdoor Services in Fort Myers, has just stopped responding, after giving me a partial estimate. &, pursuing DavitMaster, they have a 4500# single piling lift, the Epoch, but...

    Tide Tamer Boat Lifts

I'm not getting a lot of response from the Tide Tamer dealer, Overall Outdoor Services in Ft. Myers. I got an estimate, but he doesn't seem to want to fine tune it until we are there in December. By then, it will be too late to get permitting done for this year. Generally speaking, it's hard...

    Tide Tamer Boat Lifts

Sorry, I don't get notified when there's a reply. That's sounds like "Swinger", a 1500# jetski lift that swings out over the water, and back over the dock. Seeing one of those is what got me interested in Tide Tamer. We want a "Dual Piling" 3000# lift, which is two Swingers that are fixed...

    Tide Tamer Boat Lifts

I don't see a Lift category, so . . . We want a dual piling Tide Tamer lift in SW FL, between Sarasota and Ft. Myers. Any thoughts? Any dealers?

    Shift Lever Question

I got the shift lever cover off, and tried to get into it further, but couldn't.

    Shift Lever Question

I might do that. When I started this discussion, it was because I wasn't sure how to get into the shift lever. If it is not the same as in the video, I might not do that.

    Shift Lever Question

After watching that, and seeing all the little things that could be lost or damaged, and the disassembly and reassembly process, I have decided to live with it the way it is. That will change if the trim switch on the shift lever stops working altogether.
