Took the boat out the other day after buying it. Was told it had forward,neutral, reverse. However, reverse is non existant. Took it to marine shop he says the reverse spring is probably broke. Wants $650.00 parts and labor. Then he says the alternator is not charging but "they don't make parts...
Would would be the reasons for "not being able to plane". Runs well and idles well. Just acts like it has 1/2 power when wide open. Any help appreciated.
