I think I figured out what is wrong with my tilt. The little pins that join the shaft and cams are rotten through. Any idea on how to replace these? Do I need to get all new shafts and have the shaft ends welded again? Seems involved.
While replacing the impeller, I noticed that the gasket material on top of the water seal was coming off so I removed it. Should I replace the water seal all together? The SELOC manual is silent on the issue. If so, how? I imagine it takes a special tool.
Emptied the VST and cleaned and/or changed all of the filters. When I pumped the bulb to fill everything back up, I gave it a good squeeze to make sure. The next time I tilted the motor up, fuel came out of one of the weeps on the lower cowling. Maybe a teaspoon.

I have a Perko all around nav light with two festoon end 10W bulbs. One of the bulbs is always going out. It is annoying and expensive.
Any ideas? I looked it up and I have the proper wattage of bulb.

I have an 8 hp Honda kicker. I am preparing to replace of bunch of parts, but cannot figure out what year it is. It looks like there is a spot for a serial number tag on the mount, but there is no tag.
If the tag is missing, how else can I ID the engine?

Two weeks ago, at the end of a day-long trip, the engine lost rpms and the boat fell off plane. When I gave it addtional gas to get back up on plane, the rpms would not rise. Turned off, checked prop and no problem. Fired up and was fine.
