I ran the motor out of oil. The alarm did not go off and the reservoir in the engine cowling went dry.
It runs ok after putting oil in and repairing the problem. It is noisier now and there is what sounds like a bit of knocking in the crankshaft. Can anyone take an educated guess as to...
My 1995 yamaha 130 2 stroke was running fine. When coming back from the fishing grounds we were running around 4000 rpm and all of a sudden the engine dies......no power stopped in its tracks. It starts up fine and will run at lower rpm but if I accellerated to above 2500 rpm it dies flat.
