    Yep the Moog 344 is a perfect match. I installed today in my 07 SX. Some photos below. Not easy but not impossible. I had to get creative with sockets to hold the rental tool straight but it all worked out. Thanks Bills928 for the part number!

    Yep i got it all cleaned up, primed, and painted with Volvo primer and paint. But still not perfectly smooth like it was when new.

    I was finally able to pull the bearing by rotating the jack plate in order to seat on two bolt holes on opposite corners. Worked perfectly.

    Went to pull the gimbal bearing today with the new tool i bought and the bolt hole pattern on the tool plate doesn’t match the outdrive bolt pattern.     Yes sir, I have the manual and have reviewed it. Sure enough, it says to remove the old bearing and seal, then install new ones. Not exactly the level of insight I was seeking, but I’ll make it work.
