I will lastly add that is seems the engine and gearbox were fished from the ocean as it’s kind of funny an aluminum piston rusted. I took my time and made the little TFA-50 run like a top. getting that piston out of the bore was almost as big of a nightmare as freeing off the stuck rings.

My engine is a TFA-50 1941 two years after Tokyo Hatsudoki started. Followed by the second model in 1945 the TFB-50 then the TFL engines in 1950 and so on. But I have much bigger questions about my engine being stamped OMC for I believe outboard marine corporation.
