I need help with 81 Evinrude 35hp. It will fire<br />and run in neutral for only a few seconds and then<br />die. If I shift it in to gear quickly it will<br />run until I turn off the ignition or shift it back<br />to neutral. This is a 2cvl. fresh gas, plugs, etc.<br /><br />Thanks
I have a 81 35hp evinrude that is hard starting.<br />It will start with fresh plugs,however it will not idle in neutral for more than 2-3 seconds.<br />If I shift it immediately in to forward or reverse<br />it will run until you shift it back to neutral or<br />turn off the ignition switch...
