    82 mercury stator identification

    hi, i have a 1982 mercury 200hp outboard, and my stator has failed, ive been looking for a new one but im not sure if its a 9 or 16amp, there are no markings on the stator, so i was wondering if there was anyway of identifying what unit it is? eg. size etc
