is setting the timing on a 1973 65 hp evinrude as hard as everyone makes it out to be? Could i set the timing myself being a good mechnic or should I just take it to the dealer and have them do it.
I have a 1973 65 hp evinrude, I have a friend with a 1977 70 hp evinrude powerhead. can I mount the 77 powerhead to the 73 motor? If I can what do I need to look at to see if it is possible to do that. Thanks.
Motor starts and idles fine, when you start out it runs ok but as you power up it sometimes goes and sometimes wont go, I drained the carbs and it work for a day and now I cant get it to go at all, do I need to overhall the carbs? Help please.<br /><br />garr
