do i need to adjust my throttle cable if i turn the idle screw up a bit? my boat runs well but dies when i put it in gear unless i idle it up a bit. do i need to set the carbs it is a 71 chrysler 85hp outboard so there's three and the linkages are lined up well. any help is appreciated.

there is a regulator i know but this is the only model ever made that has this huge capacitor. look at the diagram im not sure of its purpose completely .
another almost identical but no capacitor in this one i can see. whats it for? as there is no condenser next to my points would the big capacitor take this place?
