I have a 2001 30 hp ob that is on a Whaler 13 that is kept in salt water at a marina all summer. We have had some problems with it salting up the thermostat and the poppet which are at the top of the block, port side. My guess is they don't completely drain so after a season of only weekend use...
My 2hp Yamaha quits after running at 3/4 throttle and then will restart sometimes. It was completely rebuilt this season. It starts right up when cold.
Do you think it could be the carb adjustments? The two screws don't seem to do anything and the Yamaha documentation doesn't address carb...
