    1995 88 johnson

    engine is always putting out 16 volts,I have been told this engine has no regulator so its is supposed to put out this much .Anyone else heard or this.....

    1995 88hp Johnson electrical; problem

    I own a 1995 88 hp johnson which is putting out 16volts constantly which also causes tach problem. Here is whats been done. New stater,New tach diode,New starter coils , New power pack,New battery cables,New batteries.All gauges tested and working fine. I'm stumped.
