    mercruiser leg with peugoet engine???????

    i have been offered a mercruiser leg with a peugeot engine. engine is 1.7 turbo diesel, producing 85hp so he says,max rpm is 3500 however the leg is a petrol leg with ,he says, a 2:1 gear.<br />would this be ok or would it need to be changed? the engine has the adapter plate to couple to the leg...
