    Rectifier swap

    I have a Force 50hp and I believe the rectifier needs replacing (failed the diodes test). My neighbor has a rectifier from a 40hp Merc that he is saving as a parts motor. Can I install the Merc rectifier on my Force outboard?

    I have a Force 50hp 2stroke (1992) and a new set of gauges. The tach appeared to be wired correctly by a boat shop, but it doesn't work. I removed the Faria tach to hold it closer to the motor figuring everything would be direct to the gauge and there wouldn't be any shorts. I wired positive...

    Well I made it from the motor to the workbench. The pump (?) looks like it came off of cylinder #1 (top). There was another plate thingy where a small hose from the pump went to and it was attached to cylinder #2. Before I start exploring did I take the right one off? Attached two pictures.

    I just noticed that my stator label reads it's a 3 cylinder stator, however I have a 2 cylinder Force 50hp motor. Will/does this effect anything?

    My Force 50hp 1 carb fires up with the choke handle up, revs high, and can run all day. I can't lower the choke handle to engage the throttle...it dies.     Force 50hp - doesn't restart

    I have no problem starting my 50hp (2 cylinder) Force and will run it for an hour or so....but watch out. I shut it down and it won't restart. Appears after 20 minutes or so (maybe cools down) it starts like there was never a problem. What can I check?

    Prop on Party Hut produces 4800 rpm

    I have a 30ft Sun Tracker Party Hut with a 150 1996 2 cycle Mariner and can only produce 4800rpm with my 3 blade alum. prop (18 - 12 pitch). Any ideas to max my rpms? 4 blade? Stuck in slow mode. Thx, Tuni.
