What happens if you wind up with a hike in the housing? I had some corrosion that ate through. Won’t the new rubber covered mount basically seal it up? Will it cause problems? Does it need to be resealed with epoxy genwrls or something?

2 stoke j90plstc. Was saltwater now freshwater on lake. Do I need to fill the corrosion hole behind the lower engine mount? The rubber mount and then the clamshell cover covers the corrosion hole.
I have the same issue on a 2003 90hp. Corrosion behind the lower motor mount where there motor mount nipple or pin goes into the housing. Once the new motor mount is put in place won’t the motor mount basically act like a gasket and seal the hole? Is there really a need to patch it with...
