I'll be replacing a cracked fuel inlet on my 1991 Evinrude this weekend. Do I need to flush the gas out of the system before I remove the old inlet? Or should I be good to simply remove the part and catch whatever comes out in a 5-gallon bucket?
I recently purchased a boat with a 1991 Evinrude Intruder 150 engine. The motor will start up, but only stays on for 5-15 seconds. When I took the motor cover off, I noticed some fuel coming from one of the inlets. I can replicate the problem when I pump fuel into the system. The attached video...
