    Johnson carb rebuild

    After finally getting my parts Im ready to rebuild the carb. Question is , how many other parts do I have to remove to get to the carb? I'm going to take pix to help put things back but it looks like a fair size job just to get the carb off.

    Thermostat question

    I'm now on my 69 Johnson 40 HP. Motor. It has a thermostat .My question is will water come out of the hole as soon as it starts or when it gets up to operating temp? And because this motor is new to me where does the water get sucked in at ? Thanks

    primer solenoid wiring

    I rebuilt my primer solenoid , no problem . Pushed the key in but didn't hear a click . Should I ? Also wires going to the solenoid (2) one goes right to it and the other is hanging loose . I didn't take it off at any time . Plus it's hot . Where might it go ?

    motor not revving up in gear

    I recently put my sons 50 hp johnson 0n my pontoon .It starts ok but , the shifter seems stiff and the motor will not run faster than an idle . I can open the throttle up by hand and it will rev up . Could I have the cables crossed up ? Because I had to take them off gey it on my boat .
