    proper prop??

    I have a 1976 1500 merc 150 hp that is pushing a 16.5 foot fiberglass ski boat. Does anyone know what pitch of prop it might have come with? I'm thinking a 17 or 19, but I really don't Know. I'm having trouble with my holeshot when I load the boat with people. Right now its running a 21

    I read the Timing post by Clamscanino about adjusting the timing for inline 6 up to 88. The only question I have about this is how to determine if my 1976 1500 is a direct charge" crossflow which requires 21 deg max advance or a plain crossflow which requires 34 deg max advance. anyone...

    1976 Mercury 1500 Specs

    Hello, I have a 1976 Mercury 1500 inline 6 Outboard 150HP That I recently installed a Tach Onto. I'm Not sure though, at what RPM This engine will red line. Does anyone have this info? I would also like to know what the compression specs for this engine are if possible. Thanks for everyones help
