    how can i check if the problem with starting the motor is the powerpack or the coil?

    we have a 1969 johnson out board v 115 there is no spark and no power going to the coil we replaced the coil and still nothing any suggestions?

    had motor running for about 30 mins the other day went back yesterday to try to start it and there was no spark replaced plugs and a different stator still not getting any spark any suggestions hopefully that's enough info

    problems with shifting on a 1969 115 hp johnson

    hi guys not sure where to start just bought the boat got it started finally and it came with two controllers the one on the boat is from the original motor wich is another one. we have the controller that is "supposed" to go to the 115 not sure though, had to work the throttle with the cowl off...
