ok i have a 1999 bayliner 1850 with a 4.3. i need to replace the block because i found out where u bolt the starter to a chunk got chipped off and somebody jb welded it on and i was looking at it and it was barley on.
option 1: rig something up like welding then tapping
option 2: buy another...
1999 bayliner 1850 has steering troubles
i can turn the wheel all the way around and everything. thats not the problem. the problem is that it takes all my force to turn it its very stiff
is this something to do with the steering cable.
can it be fixed or does it need to be replaced
i need to replace the ring gear on my 1999 bayliner 1850. it has the 4.3 v6.
the replacing the ring gear is no big deal.
But getting to it is. does anybody know the best way to pull the motor and detach the outdrive. i need a step bye step walk through.

i recently boat a used boat.

took out the starter.
the fly wheel is missing two teeth and the starter doesnt catch.
