    Mercruiser 3.0 litre stripped head bolt

    I have a stripped head bolt second from the back on distributor side on 94 mercruiser 3.0 litre.Can anyone tell me what is the best way to fix this.Drill and retap larger bolt or helicoil?Could you tell me the size of the current bolt and what size of bolt/ helicoil i need?Thanks

    Mercuiser 3.0 litre engine question

    Recently picked up a 94 Bowrider with a bad 3.0 litre lx in it cracked block.See an older 140 HP here locally for sale and was wondering if it would fit in my boat.The one for sale is an old(looks like 80's)blue colored 140HP.Did these engines every really change(blocks and heads)?

    Another Engine / Outdrive swap question

    Could i put a 1985 140 Hp Mercruiser engine and alpha 1 drive together into a 1989 Bayliner that has a 5.0 litre in it .The 89 has no drive so i wanted to swap both together if possible.Will it fit right in or would i have to modify anything to do so.TIA

    What type of engine is this?

    Looking at buying a project 94 bayliner.Guy bought it as is with motor and drive out of the boat.Sent a pic of the engine and drive to me but i don't recognize it.He tried to tell me it is a 2 stroke.I have a 145 hp mercruiser in my old searay and it doesn't look like this.
