Guys I'm looking at a 2 stroke mid 90's 2 cylinder kicker. The seller can't find the id tags , they may be gone. Are there any other ways to find out what hp it is?

just rebuilt the carbs and motor seems to run well on the hose, no leaks and primer ball gets had with no leaking.
when i tilted the motor up with out the intake cover on both carbs leaked fuel quite a bit. is this normal? seems like alot of fuel to me?

looking at a used jet drive which has been converted with a standard gear case. before I do a reman powerhead.
the model number is J90JLERC which shows a 94 90hp
the motor cover says 65hp. were these motors rated diffferently because of the jet drive?

motor ran good 3 yrs in a row. compression at end of summer was 90 on all 4 cylinders.
so i decided to fix lower unit and trim leak which i just completed.
pulled the heads to change the gaskets and BAM starboard side headand piston is all bashed up from broken ring. cylinder walls looked good...
my 1979 85 hp johnson trim pump housing is bad.
