    Johnson lower unit ran dry

    Bought rebuilt `92 40HP Johnson in January....couldn`t use until now....cranked it up every other week....ran it yesterday in lake for about 2 hours and lower unit started making noise...brought home and removed lower unit drain plug....no oil or water, just a little grey grease with metal...

    4 HP yamaha carb

    Have 4 HP Yamaha that runs fine as long as you leave it on choke. When you take the choke off, it runs wide open....can anybody help? Bill

    50 HP Evinrude compression

    Have 1986 50 hp Evinrude that keeps fouling bottom plug....compression is 80 on both cylinders. Is this too low for motor to operate normally? Bill
