I just bought a boat with a 1970 40hp evinrude lark, ran ok for a little bit, not much power,but it is a heavy boat 16ft. Quachita, but then started to jump out of gear at any more than half throttle. Are there any fixes other than new parts? I've seen posts that refer to springs and clutches...
