    Yes it is a brand new thermostat in there, 1979 Johnson 9.9 motor on my 14 ft Jon boat And yes it is at full throttle

    I think it was splashing up, I saw that as well but didn’t find any water leakage. Still torque checked the water jacket though, for good measure

    My 1979 has water coming out of the exhaust relief holes at idle. I just replaced water jacket, thermostat, power head manifold(where the spark plugs thread into), and water pump. I have attached a video Is it normal for that much water to exit in idle?
