    89 40hp Evinrude Water Pump

Has anyone ever seen a pump tear itself up like this? Our best guess is, Ice cubes in the pump.

    89 Tracker Livewell Timer

Does anyone know how to test the livewell timer in an 89 Tracker? The rocker switch on the dash seems to be working OK, and fills the livewell just fine. In the auto mode it never comes on. I think I see the unit way up under the dash, but don't want to start tearing things apart until I'm sure...

    89 40hp Evinrude

This is a TE40ELCEC. Yesterday I was running down the lake at about 3/4 throttle, up on plane. There was a little hesitation, then it dropped to idle speed. I let it idle for about 15 seconds then took it back up to running speed. There was good water flow from the water pump indicator and no...

    89 70hp Evinurde

My buddy's motor starts fine--runs fine--but won't shut off. Not with the key or by pulling the safety lanyard. He has to shut it down by disconnecting the fuel line. Where should he start looking and what will he be looking for? Nicked wire or corroded connection maybe?

    live well aerator

I have an 89 Tracker Pro 17. The automatic mode of the aerator doesn't work. Does any one know the part number of the timer and where I might get one?

    89 40hp Oil Tank

I need to add oil to my VRO tank. I am pretty sure Evinrude oil was used last time. Wally World doesn't carry the Evinrude brand anymore--They have store brand and Pennzoil brand. Of the two, I will buy the Pennzoil. Is there any problems mixing Evinrude with Pennziol---I don't want to have to...

    Prop vs Jet

A friend of mine is looking to buy a boat to use on the river. His first conflict is Prop vs Jet drive. Then, tunnel vs flat bottom. Can a prop motor be used with a tunnel hull jon boat? Any one got any ideas or pics I can share with him?

Thinking about putting a Powerwinch Deckmate 19 on my 89 Tracker----Anybody have one of these--and how do you like it?

    Which grease?

I have an 89 Tracker that i bought last year. Now that cold weather is here I figured I would pull the wheels and give the bearings a good look. The boat was used in brakish water before I bought it but will be in fresh water from now on. Which grease does everyone prefer for re-packing the...

    Briggs and Stratton

A firend of mine said he saw a Briggs and Stratton outboard the other day----Are they getting into the business or is this something old?

    XPS Battery Charger

I have a Bass Pro XPS 3-bank battery charger that just stopped working. I took it out of the compartment and it looks like it is a completely sealed unit. I checked the connections where you plug in the power cord--it is getting power there, but no power light on the unit. I tested the cord...

    Canada Fly-In Trip

My buddies and I are doing a fly-in trip to Moberly Lake in Ontario this August. This lake supposedly has good Walleye fishing. Anyone ever fished this lake? Any suggestions on tackle and techniques?

    Trash

So here's the thing---I didn't hit the lake over the holiday weekend because I'm retired and don't have to fight the crowds anymore. So, I go to the ramp Tuesday and as usual at this ramp only a couple of boats there. I look at the ramp and next to it is the trash left by bank fishermen(worm...

    MinnKota 812

Any one know where I can get an owner's manual for a Minn Kota Pro 812. It is on an 89 Tracker---don't know if it is that old, but it looks like it could be.

    Fuel tank

My boat came with a 6 gal metal portable tank. I want to replace it with a 12 gal plastic portable tank. This size tank will fit the compartment better than two 6 gal tanks would. I will not be able to lift the 12 gal tank out of the boat for filling. I am always careful about keeping the nozzle...
