i have a carb on my merc v6 150 middle carb pours out gas motor runs terrible. i took carb out turned it upside down and blew air with my mouth to see if floats would shut off and i can still blow air througjh gas inlet on carb. took carb bottom off then turned float bowl upside down again...
I found my carb gas leak problem there is a crack in the float. Now I cant find a float for a 1981 v6 150 . Iboats and sierra now longer have the part available , what am I gonna do now? thanks for the info on rebuilding the carbs. any ideas? STEVE
took boat out today it ran terrible no speed . when i got home i took cover off my carbs. 3 dual carbs , i squeezed primer bulb hard and i have gas pouring out the carb.the carb on top is okay the one on the bottom is okay but the carb in the middle pours gas out when i squeeze primer bulb...
installed a new high pressured pump in a 150 merc yesterday it showed 5 on the psi gauge , today it shows 0 . did I burn the impeller up. No water comming out the pee hole. thank you,.
dropped lower unit on mercury 150 to change impeller. When I put back I matched lower unit and shifter in forward, I ended up with forward and neutral no reverse.I put lower unit in neutral shifter in neutral and got reverse and forward backwards. what am I doind wrong? thank you wunderman.
I have a 1981 skeeter boat with a mercury 150 serial#5578763 my trim motor burned up . It was the old square type with the round metal bottom pump assy. I do not know what motor I need to buy or if I have to buy the whole unit together. any help would be appreciated. help I cannot go fishing...

hi everybody in april my 150 mercury 1981 v6 over heated and I replaced the waterpump. my #5 cylinder has no spark, I replaced the coil and still have no spark. I was wondering if the switchbox could have went bad from the motor overheating. I would appreciate any help.thank you Steve
