    Ouch.. looks like i need to save for a trim and tilt kit.. if these only help on the way down I might as well just leave them busted.

    Have a 1972 johnson 3cyl 75hp outboard with what appears to be two "shock absorbers" (look like pn:0385532) mounted to a pivot arm with a grese fitting under the motor. No signs of the typical lift assist cylinder (pumpjack) that everyone is complaining about anywhere. Are these just shock...
