Hello,
My friend is looking to buy a 2003 larson that has a carburetored mercruiser 3.0 that won't start. It has been sitting for 5 years. What is the best order of operation to start with besides new gas.
Thanks
Hello,
I am having an ongoing issue with my Volvo Penta AQ125B with WOT issues and planing issues (most likely related).
If I have 3 people total on board I have issues planing out. Sits at about 3000 RPMS until someone goes to the front of the boat and it finally planes out after 15 seconds...
Re: Volvo Penta AQ125B Bogging down at full throttle
Sounds good I will look into that. Not sure what to look for when looking if the points are good or not. When it comes to ignition I am clueless...
Does anyone know if the OEM Volvo Penta AQ125B's ignition coil is suppose to have an internal...
I am having an ongoing issue since I took the boat out this summer. When the boat has a load it will run "fine" up to about 2200-2500 rpms. If I try to push past it the engine slowly bogs down until i come back a bit on the throttle. I took apart the carb and cleaned the jets. Fresh fuel. Bought...

I want to start my boat safely out of the water. I have a volvo penta aq125a with a closed cooling system. Would I still need to hook up some sort of hose? I read that volvo engines has a garden hose attachment. Would that apply to a closed cooling system as well? I can't find anything but I...
Basically the boat doesnt like to idle, even after it is warmed up it has a hard time starting. I need to give it some gas.
When it is not yet warmed up it has a dead spot at about 1/4 throttle (the boat will stall) Once warmed up it still has the dead spot but if I give it more throttle it...
I have a Volvo Penta AQ125B with a Volvo penta 270. I believe there is a RH prop on there right now which is shot. My boat came with a brand new LH prop. I was wondering if I could use the LH prop without changing the gearing.(use reverse to go forward etc...) If not, how hard is it to change...
