    What Gear Lube to use in a 1962 40hp Johnson

    Hi all, My father asked me to find out what gear lube should be used in his engine. Is a 1962 Johnson 40 hp (possibly 35hp but I think he said 40). I have searched but am not getting any definitive answers. Thanks for the help. Ed

    96 Force 120 Overcharging 16 + Volts

    I noticed recently that my voltage gauge is sometimes pegged at over 16 volts. I confirmed this reading with the voltage gauge on the fishfinder also. It will reach 16.7 volts sometimes. I know this cant be good for the battery. It does it only when the engine is funning faster that idle...
