What is the best way to remove the motor cover on a 1957 evinrude 7.5? I removed it once before when i had to remove the power head but i am wanting to give it a new paint job and do not want to scratch it when i am putting it back on... it seems like the shift lever is in the way and i cannot...
I have a 1957 evinrude 7.5 fleetwin that i just replaced the impeller on and cranked it up for the first time today... I think the gas oil mix isnt right because it was smoking a lot... not just a little smoke but a whole lot of it when i started raising the speed it was so much smoke i couldent...
I am trying to change the water pump on my 1957 evinrude 7.5hp outboard and I cannot get the bottom part where the impeller is to come of for the life of me... i remove four screws just above the propeller and it will slide out some but then it hangs up... i am sure there is a screw i am not...
