    1988 70hp Evinrude low oil alarm

    I have a 1988 70hp evinrude that has had the vro system disconnected for at least 10 years and never had a problem but suddenly the beep ,beep, beep of the low oil alarm started going off. The oil tank has always been and is still half full of really old oil and it's never done this before...

    1979 85hp evinrude only gets to 3000 rpm
