    switching foot from 85hp 20" to 125hp 25"

    i have a 85hp 20" foot i need to put it in a 125hp 25" motor. can i take the 20" shaft out and replace it with the 25" shaft? thanks for any info. keith

    mariner 70 year of make

    i have a mariner 70 3 cyl i am not sure of the age of this motor, the serial # is 6030708. thanks for the help. keith
